Advance dated e-tickets for entry are recommended for all Nature Reserve admissions (including free e-tickets for Members).

Hours may be modified, limited in capacity, and subject to availability or closure.
Check shawnature.org or social media for any weather closures. If the Nature Reserve closes due to weather, guests with tickets for that date may use their tickets for admission on another valid date.

Service dogs only. We love our pets, but they are not allowed at the Nature Reserve.
No smoking, including electronic cigarettes.
Leave what you find. No collecting of any kind.
Bicycles are permitted on roads only.
No weapons, fires, alcoholic beverages, hunting, fishing, grilling, or swimming.

Visitor Guidelines

Narrated wagon tours are available in the spring (April-May) and fall (September-October) at Shaw Nature Reserve on Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting at 11 a.m. Wagon tours are $5 per person, free for members at the Friends and Family level and above or with a Bonus Bloom pass. Guests can reserve wagon passes at the Visitor Center. Tours last 30 to 45 minutes and follow the Nature Reserve's Loop Roads. Private wagon tours are also available, please call for more information (314)577-9555.

The Nature Reserve is a tobacco-free environment. Pets, weapons, collecting natural materials, and swimming are not permitted. Services dogs are welcome. Visitors must adhere to posted guidelines and closing time. Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation.
